As a leader in our industry in assuring that only the highest quality products are made available to our customers, Porteous established an A2LA accredited laboratory in the late 1980s and was among the first in the fastener industry to do so. With periodic reaccreditation and updated computerization, today’s lab at corporate headquarters is a reflection of PFC fastener quality as well as an important tool to audit supplier quality and aid customers in problem solving. Current staffing includes two professional engineers as well as technicians that are available to vendors and customers alike.

         

In addition, last year we opened a PFC lab in Taiwan, in order to work more closely with our Asian factories. With recent accreditation, this facility works to head off any quality issues before product is shipped to the states and aids us in certifying only the right suppliers to be “PFC Preferred”.

Manufacturer’s mill test reports are available on all heat-treated or through-hardened product and can be obtained through PFC Online.
